Parsonage Farm - opposite Meadow Room
The following information and photographs are submitted, with thanks, by Gillian Häkli who, since 1961, resides in Finland. It was her first stop on a round the world adventure; liking it so much Gillian stayed!
Being a relative of the Stevens sisters, who lived at Parsonage Farm, 2nd cousins twice removed it was their 4 x great- grandfather (Gillian's 6 x great-grandfather), William Pemble (died at Cobham in 1727), who first acquired the freehold to the old Parsonage. It remained in the family, being passed down from generation to generation, until Emma Jane died there in 1953. Some time after that it was sadly demolished.
Gillian has written up the history, see below, of the Parsonage for the Cobham and Sole Street Historical Society.
