The Lion Public House, Sole Street.

It is understood the Landlord built the extension as a shop to be run by his daughter.  This explains why the interior of the shop extends into the pub building, the interior of the shop is wider than the exterior walls!

The pub closed in 1924 when it became a garage, A & L Baldock Rosario. 1970 the premises were owned by Faincroft Engineering and in 2007 were converted into one bed apartments.

The shop is now the Little Shop, the only shop in Sole Street.
